5 Stars having fun with pilates
When I received the Pilates tape, I was a little skeptical about starting, I was sure it would be too hard to follow - I am 69yrs old! But to my delight, with the exception of some of the back stretches, I found it to be quite easy and fun, and very easy to follow. I’d recommend theis tape to anyone who wants to get fit quickly, and has a few minutes to spend on themselves.
2 Stars Not for me
I ordered this video because of all the nice comments it received. I did not like it. There is too much talking between the workouts and I got bored really quickly. This may be good for someone who need lots and lots of instruction, but it’s not for me.
5 Stars Another good one
I have other DVDs that feature Maggie so when I was looking for a Pilates DVD this one stood out for me. She’s really good at teaching newbies. Pleasant personality, encouraging and good instruction. This DVD also has lots of routines on it so you aren’t just doing the same 2 or 3 over an over.
5 Stars Good for Beginners
Like it says, this is a beginner DVD. I have a few different Pilates DVDs and they are all a little different as far as what order the instructor does the series of exercises and how the way they break down the options for different workouts. Being new I just wanted to learn the moves and have more then one workout to choose from. This DVD has been good for learning and I like the breakdown of the workouts. I like having choices other then a full half hour or longer routine.
5 Stars Great
I am new to Pilates and picked this up to learn how to do it properly.
A good selection for me, with one section that goes through and teaches well on how to do Pilates including a longer routine that is still geared to making it a bit easier, though you get a good workout.
The second section dials things up a bit and real good workouts. The nice thing about Pilates is when you follow along you get a good workout without having to do many, many repetitions and a good workout can be had in a short time. Happy I added Pilates to my workouts.

5 Stars Great to end the day
I got this dvd a few weeks ago and I use it almost every day. When I’ve had a really crazy day at work I do Unwinding Muscle Tension or Energizing Evening. Then I’m ready to make dinner and spend the evening with family. I’ve also found Good Night Sleep and Breath Work to be good before bed. I haven’t used the AM routines yet.
5 Stars Good warm-up or cool-down
I’m not hard core about yoga. I ues it in my fitness program but it’s not my main activity. I got this as a gift and sort of forgot about it until recently. I started doing early morning runs and these routines are perfect to use as a warm up and cool down. Get up and Go is my warm up and then from the PM section I like Unwinding Muscles after my run.
4 Stars simple & delightful
Not too decorated, but very pleasant to eye and ear and body.Good instructions, pleasant voice and experienced personality of Barbara Bengah create a delightful restorative yoga dvd
5 Stars Kind of like getting a massage!
I am BRAND NEW to yoga- never did it before getting this DVD. I have to say its been great! There are a number of different routines, and the scenery is beautiful. The way you stretch your muscles in these videos, to me, is almost like getting a massage. It feels so good, and is extremely relaxing in the PM, and a really nice way to start your day in the AM. I am now a Yoga fan because of this DVD!
5 Stars Great!
Great dvd. Calming, and thoughtfully created. The narrator includes enough calming words, while at the same time not being a distraction. Recommended.

5 Stars Versatile and Effective
Well laid out and thought out DVD with routines that take you from the beginning, a couple of easy routines, to those that continue on from there.
A nice mix of poses that move well without having any distractions or talking to interfere with working out with the yoga (more so after the easier sections designed to start you.)
THen as you move on the poses are more challenging and includes some great modifications with weights and bands to tone you further.
Has worked well - my flexibility has improved and lost some weight
5 Stars Nice
If you want to add yoga to your fitness program this is a nice one to get. The workouts move at a good pace for people who are new to yoga. It’s called “weight loss” so it’s not super slow and not a relaxing based type yoga, but it’s not cardio either. What you get with this DVD is a new way to work on strength, tone and flexibility.
2 Stars No sense of inner peace from these workouts
I have numerous Yoga DVD’s which I alternate to keep myself from getting bored with one routine. Often in the morning I will do a short routine before work to get my day off to a great start. I have found that most of the workouts have one thing in common - a tremendous sense of “inner peace” upon completion of the routine, no matter how short it is. [...] the poses are done too quickly, with little focus on breathing and awareness of self. [...]
5 Stars Great for strengthening and toning
If you want to add some yoga to you fitness program and gain muscle tone and strength then you will like this DVD. Yoga will work muscle groups and your whole body very differently then other workouts. When you’re comfortable wih the routines and feel you’ve gotten the poses well enough to want a bit more challenge, move to the section that incorporates hand weights and bands for added challenge.
3 Stars Yoga DVD
I received my video quickly and I am satisfied with the condition of the product. The content itself is a tad bit disappointing because it isn’t as versatile in routines as I had expected.

5 Stars JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
This DVD is great for me. I am a beginner to Yoga, and this DVD really relaxes me and gives me a sense of calm. I can’t speak for advanced yoga people, but if you’re a beginner, this is a great place to start.
5 Stars Happy With It
I’ve had this DVD for almost a year and I’m still using it. It was excellent to start with getting into yoga and although I’ve since bought other DVDs I still enjoy the workouts on this one. I’d recommend it to anyone who is new to yoga and anyone who is not too experienced and wants a good DVD to follow to do yoga at home.
5 Stars Loving Yoga
I’ve been doing yoga at home for a few months. I started yoga with a 6 class package given to me as a birthday gift. The classes were good but I found that I wasn’t always in the mood for yoga when the class was scheduled.
This video has been a good choice for me. I can do my yoga at home whenever it suits me and I can pick a workout that I want to do. With this video I’ve started loving yoga and hate to go a day without it.
1 Star not good
This dvd should not be titled yoga for beginners, but yoga for old people. I do NOT recommend it!
5 Stars Great for beginners!
I purchased this dvd after returning another I purchased that was just plain weird (Ana and Revi Ultimate Stretch workout). So far I have found it easy to follow her directions without staring at the tv, and the routines are easy enough to be a great beginning point for me. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find a 30 minute unwind routine that focused mostly on breathing and meditation, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
