5 Stars Magic
This book, has changed my life. By doing the exercises it outlines I am no longer a victim of my back pain! I am so happy, and amazed. I would love to meet Robin McKenzie for a big hug!
4 Stars Generalized title problem. But good
While this may teach truly excellent practices and have solutions, BE FOREWARNED; this book basically focuses on the LOWER back. Exercises are for the LOWER back. There is mention about how to position one’s neck with pillows and such. But if you have troubles with your middle back, then….. well…
This book could be titled, “How to Treat Your LOWER Back”. Practical, multi-edition book for LOWER back.
4 Stars Recommended by orthopedic doctor
This book of exercises was recommended by an orthopedic doctor. The book is well written with photo illustrations making the exercises easy to understand and perform.
5 Stars Straightforward exercises for managing back and related pain
Treat Your Own Back was recommended to me by a physical therapist. The book contains simple, practical exercises for managing and preventing back pain. McKenzie’s recommendations are based on data from his field experience. The prose is straightforward, and the book contains a manageable amount of information and is not bloated. These exercises in combination with other treatments have been very helpful for me. You might consider Robin McKenzie’s other book (written with Craig Kubey) because it contains the Treat Your Own Back content and added content for treating neck pain. Another informative book for those who might have RSI is “It’s Not Carpal Tunnel” by Suparna Damany and Jack Bellis. In addition to investigating self-treatment, you should see a sports medicine doctor, general practitioner, and physical therapist, who can examine your specific case. It’s also useful to get different views and info sets before setting your course of treatment.
5 Stars It’s a godsend!
I don’t have much to add to the other testimonials. I’m another person for whom this book and the Treat Your Own Neck Book has been a godsend!
